IR PRECLINICAL ELECTIVE

The Introduction to Interventional Radiology preclinical elective is a semester-long course aimed at introducing first and second year students to the procedurally focused field of interventional radiology.

In this elective, students will attend organ-based lectures from interventional radiologists, as well as shadow cases in the IR department at RIH.

These lectures will follow the anatomy learned during the first year curriculum and will include a hands-on workshop learning how to use ultrasound and different IR tools.
